Anvil Web App
An introduction to Anvil's Web App, the easiest way to control and monitor your Anvil system
Anvil's stack includes a local web app that you can use in the browser to manage data collection sessions, view live data streams, monitor system status, and more. You can access the web app by clicking the Desktop shortcut, or by navigating yourself to localhost:3000 in the browser.
You can of course connect to the web app from other machines on your local network, as long as they are capable of accessing the Anvil Devbox that's running the app and control stack.
The Anvil Web App is in early beta, and subject to change. The UX and robustness will see major improvements very soon.
Live recorder
The Recorder view in the web app shows you a live preview of the data being recorded, including camera streams, frame drops, motor health, and much more. This allows you to see what your data will look like before you start recording.
Recording data
Data recorded with the Anvil stack is organized into sessions and episodes, where a session is a logical collection of episodes. The Sessions view manages these, and provides ways to create new sessions/episodes and start recording.
