Anvil Devbox
The Anvil Devbox contains everything needed to collect data and train models on the OpenARM and OpenYAM robot platforms. Anvil's ROS2 based software stack comes pre-installed and ready to go.
Overview
The Anvil Devbox is the core of Anvil's robotics platform.
This Ubuntu-based workstation runs our entire codebase, from teleoperation, inverse kinematics, and robot controllers, to data collection and safety guardrails. It's a standard industrial PC, but all Anvil software and hardware have been qualified for and standardized around this Devbox.
This ensures a homogeneous system for Anvil's software runtime. This allows our team to quickly prototype, test, and release new software improvements to customers. Your Anvil Devbox will come preinstalled with Ubuntu and our containerized software.
The Anvil Devbox is not meant for production environments. This machine is meant to accelerate development with plug and play integrations throughout our hardware and software ecosystem.
Most importantly, it's meant to stay out of your way as a builder, letting you make any of the changes you want to make. We offer many tools: use what you want, and bypass the rest. You can jump straight into joint-space controls or use MoveIt in ROS2, it's completely up to you.
