# Robot Movement

If your robots aren't moving when you start the system, make sure all the motors are hooked up properly to receive power and communication. Anvil's metrics (see [system-metrics](https://docs-origin.anvil.bot/user-guides/system-metrics "mention")) provide invaluable debugging information, so you can narrow down where any issue may lie. Here are a couple example issues and their presentations:

| Symptom | Presentation | Root Cause |
| ----------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| One of the arms isn't moving at all | The "read" AND "write" rate is 0hz for all motors on the non-moving arm | The arm was plugged into the wrong USB port on the Anvil Devbox |
| The wrist on one of the arms isn't moving | The "read" CAN rate is 0hz for motors 6, 7, and 8 | The cable in motor 6 has come loose |
| There is no image data | Instead of displaying 4 camera streams, the Web App reports that cameras "Failed to Load" | The cameras were plugged into the wrong USB ports on the Anvil Devbox |
